Signs of stabilisation

Following the August market sell-off, there have been some signs of stabilisation in the global economic data, particularly the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) surveys. In addition, further stimulus from central banks and the likely postponement of the first Federal Reserve hike have boosted sentiment.  This supports our positive view on equities. 

Despite widespread concerns of global weakness during the summer, the European and Japan PMI show little impact from the apparent slowdown in China.
