RLAM’s asset allocation team have over 50years’ combined investment experience. They work alongside our Fixed Income and Equity Teams in particular to share research and ideas on their respective markets.

Trevor GreethamTrevor Greetham

Trevor Greetham is responsible for the tactical asset allocation strategies applied in Royal London’s life and pension funds and for developing and managing new multi asset funds for institutional and retail clients. He has a strong performance track record and is well known for his work on the Investment Clock, an approach linking the performance of various investments to the different phases of the economic cycle.

Prior to joining Royal London in 2015, Trevor was Asset Allocation Director for Fidelity Worldwide Investment, where he was responsible for implementing tactical investment decisions across a wide range of institutional and retail funds including the Fidelity Multi Asset Strategic Fund. From 1995 to 2005, Trevor was Director of Asset Allocation for Merrill Lynch. Trevor qualified as an actuary with UK life assurer Provident Mutual and has a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Cambridge University. He has 23 years’ investment experience.


 Melanie BakerMelanie Baker

Melanie Baker is RLAM’s Senior Economist with over 18 years experience in the financial sector.  She started her career at Morgan Stanley where she was an economist analysing currencies.  She was Senior UK Economist at Morgan Stanley and analysed the UK economy and political risk events for more than a decade.  Her period covering the UK included the aftermath of the financial crisis, Scotland’s Independence referendum and Brexit. She is a CFA charterholder and is also a Trustee of a local charity providing community childcare. She attended Edinburgh University and has a master’s degree in Economics from University College London.


Hiroki Hashimoto

Hiroki Hashimoto is a Senior Quantitative Analyst. Hiroki focusses on tactical asset allocation models, portfolio design and research within the Multi Asset Team.

He joined RLAM in November 2015 with a broad quantitative research experience in Multi Asset, Fixed Income and Currencies. Hiroki started his career in 2008 and he previously worked at Adrian Lee & Partners, Fidelity Worldwide Investment and Bloomberg.

He is a CFA Charterholder, a certified Financial Risk Manager, has a Master of Mathematics and a Master of Arts from University of Cambridge.


 Jean Marc Lange

Jean Marc joined RLAM in March 2012 from Henderson Global investors. He is a Senior Quantitative Analyst within RLAM’s Multi Asset Team.

He joined RLAM as manager of the passive European ex UK fund, also assisting with the day to day running of RLAM’s UK, Asia and US passive fund range. 

He has held previous positions as a senior risk analyst at Henderson focusing on equity long short and market neutral hedge funds. He is a CFA charter holder, holds an MBA in finance from Arizon State University and an MSc in Applied Statistics from Birkbeck University.


Simon Rubingh

Simon joined RLAM in August 2013 following the acquisition of The Co-operative Asset Management (TCAM) by the Royal London Group.

Simon is a Senior Fund Manager within the Multi Asset Team. He previously held the role of Senior Fund Manager within the RLAM Sustainable team, with responsibility for alternative investments and the tactical asset allocation strategy. Simon was previously Head of Overseas Equities from 2002 and managed the TCAM Asia Pacific portfolio from 1991.

Simon joined TCAM in 1989 as a research analyst on Japanese equities, has a B.A. (Hons) in Applied Economics from Abertay University and is an Associate of CFA UK.


 Nersen Pillay

Nersen Pillay is Investment Director in the Multi Asset team, working on tactical asset allocation and the communication of investment strategies.  After studying economics at the University of Cambridge, Nersen joined Barclays Global Investors in 1995, where he became an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals, and was involved in market strategy and ran active quant portfolios. After that, Nersen was a fund manager at Allianz Global Investors, working on global equity and multi-asset portfolios. Subsequently, Nersen has developed his global investment and client experience at Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and Haitong Securities, before joining Royal London Asset Management in March 2017.  Nersen has over 21 years of investment experience.


 Stephen Parry

Stephen is an Implementation Analyst working on executing client benchmarks and the views of the Multi Asset team across a range of Life and Unit Linked funds, and assisting in liquidity management. Stephen joined Royal Liver in 2006, which became part of the Royal London Group in 2011. Earlier roles within RLAM included working as a Unit Linked Fund Specialist and a Performance Analyst before moving to the Multi Asset team in 2016. Stephen started his career as an Investment Analyst at Royal Liver in 2006 after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a BA in Business Studies, Accounting and Financial Management. He is a CFA charterholder.
